About the Appeal
Definition
Petition is a right to express ones opinions or wishes regarding specific matters to national organization or local self-governing body in a written document.
Residents in a local self-governing body (including corporation and group) have the right to make petition to the local committee, local self-governing body execution organization, or other public organization for the following matters.
  • Relief from damage
  • Claim for correction or punishment to public employee
  • Enactment, amendment, or abolition of ordinance
  • Operation of public system or facilities
  • Other matters related to public organization’s authority
Process
In order to submit an appeal (including petition, opinion, question, complaint, and supplication), write down name and address and affix your sign and seal on it. The purpose and reason of the appeal shall describe when, where, why, how, who, what, and why. Submit the document to the assembly.

In case of withdrawal
If the petitioner wishes to withdraw the petition, he or she should write the reason to withdraw and the relevant council member should submit the signed and sealed petition withdrawal form.
Unacceptable matters
  • Intervene into judicial trial
  • Defilement to national organization
  • Two or more of the same petition is submitted to the same organization
  • Violation of the ordinance
